Store listing guide
App Store screenshot sizes
Start with the device slots your app supports, choose an accepted size for each, and keep the whole screenshot story consistent.

Which iPhone and iPad sizes should you use?
Apple accepts 1–10 screenshots per set in JPEG, JPG, or PNG without transparency. iPhone Duo has separate outer- and inner-display screenshot sizes; standard iPhone and iPad formats remain separate targets. The table below shows the main portrait options. Landscape uses the dimensions shown in the notes or the accepted reversed pair.
Swipe the table to see when each device slot is required.
| Device slot | Accepted portrait sizes | When to provide it |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone Duo · outer display | 1398 × 2034 px | Duo outer-display upload size. Landscape uses 2034 × 1398 px. |
| iPhone Duo · inner display | 2007 × 2853 px | Duo inner-display upload size. Landscape uses 2853 × 2007 px. |
| iPhone with Dynamic Island · medium display | 1179 × 2556 px 1206 × 2622 px | Currently listed by Apple as a required iPhone display group. Check App Store Connect scaling and submission requirements. |
| iPhone 6.9" | 1260 × 2736 px 1290 × 2796 px 1320 × 2868 px | Accepted portrait alternatives; use one matching your output. |
| iPhone 6.5" | 1284 × 2778 px 1242 × 2688 px | Face ID large-display alternatives; confirm App Store Connect scaling for your submission. |
| iPad 13" | 2064 × 2752 px 2048 × 2732 px | Required if the app supports iPad. |

Prepare a set you can review
- 01
Choose the destination first
List the device types and languages you will upload to App Store. Select the matching output size before designing the captions and device placement.
- 02
Use real app screens
Capture useful states of the app with readable content. Remove private information, debug controls, and sample claims that do not belong in your public listing.
- 03
Design a sequence
Put the main benefit first, then show the features that support it. Keep one message per slide and review the set in its upload order, not only as isolated images.
- 04
Inspect the actual export
Open the exported files, confirm their pixel dimensions, and review text, crops, and backgrounds. Check each localization at the final size before uploading.
Mistakes to catch before upload
- Renaming instead of resizing. A filename such as “1080x1920.png” does not change the image’s pixels. Inspect the file dimensions.
- Stretching a finished design. A different aspect ratio can distort device frames and text. Resize with care, or adapt the layout in Screenshot Studio.
- Using the other store’s phone image. iPhone and Android screenshots use different interfaces and output shapes. Prepare and review a separate set for each store.
- Leaving illustrative proof in the design. Replace example ratings, awards, reviews, and usage figures with substantiated information or remove them.
- Skipping the language check. A headline that fits in English may wrap differently in another language. Inspect every exported variant.
- Reusing a standard iPhone capture for iPhone Duo. Duo outer and inner displays can present a different app layout. Capture the real target layout and orientation instead of stretching a standard iPhone screen into the new canvas.
Choose the right tool for the job
Screenshot Studio offers standard iPhone and iPad targets plus dedicated iPhone Duo outer (1398 × 2034 px) and inner (2007 × 2853 px) portrait targets. These are product presets, not a complete list of every size accepted by the store.
For a new design, start with an editable template and your own app screens. For an already finished design, use the free Screenshot Resizer. After export, check the actual files against your target store slot.
